Oct 3rd

It was another day of seeing patients and visiting families. We had about 20 patients and were able to sharing the gospel with most of them. Glory to our God, there were 4 people accepted Christ and 1 guy is almost ready. We are sure that God has His plan for this guy and we have done our part. Alan, Eva and Emily had a chance to visit some Sunday school children’s families today. Despite the safety issues and living condition, we realize that some family is happier. This family has parents that really care for their children and try to spend time and communicate with the kids. They still live a busy life running a store and also worry about the language barrier, but they try their best anyway. The children in this family seem more responsive and out going. They were comfortable hanging out with us and carry conversation with us. We were glad to see that it’s not absolute sadness for the families living in Belize City. Either way, we do realize the urgency for them to know God and be able to get strength and comfort from God. That’s their only refuge and hope.

We ended the medical services after dinner time as there weren’t anymore patient. We took the chance to do our second team retreat instead. God granted us many good discussions and thoughts to ponder on. In the review time, we all had a lot to share. God always use us in our area of weakness so we realize the power of God and were able to glorify Him. Some of us are not very experienced with personal Gospel sharing, but thanks God that He gave us chances to practice and let us take part in planting the seed. We had a great chance observing and learning from the experienced teammates. This will help us establish a firm conversation and lead to sharing about the Gospel. Some of us realize that there’s special skill dealing with people with Chinese culture by not labeling them as sinner and respecting their “cultural believes”. While dealing with ones with busy lifestyle, we should always focus on establishing their personal relationship with God. We should not to push them to attend church activities and Sunday worship.
